Wash Dishes Efficiently

Washing your dishes by hand uses a significant amount of water. According to the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, faucets account for more than 15% of indoor water use.

Rather than rinsing your dishes with water, scrape extra food into the garbage can or compost bucket. Don't let the water run. Instead, fill the sink basin with water and soap. Scrub all of the dishes and set them aside. Once all dishes have been washed, rinse them under warn.running water.
