Don't Spray If You Can Sweep

On May 9, 2016, the Governor issued an Executive Order that permanently prohibits hosing off sidewalks, driveways, and other hardscapes. Switch from a hose to a broom instead. This can save you 8-18 gallons of water per minute! In addition, using a broom reduces the amount of runoff that can pollute local bodies of water.

For items that require additional cleaning, fill a bucket with water. Wash with biodegradable soap and wash over a permeable surface to reduce runoff.
