Rebates for homes are on a first-come / first-service basis and only available while funding lasts.
BEFORE purchasing your valuable water savings device, be sure to read the restrictions and view the application. Long Beach Water Department formed a partnership with other water agencies to streamline and reduce the cost of our residential rebate program; this partnership is called "SoCal Water$mart ". Weather-Based Irrigation Controller (WBIC) and Central Computer Irrigation Controller (CCIC) Incentives based on controller capacity. Irrigation controllers using historic or real time data on environmental conditions for a specific location and landscape – such as soil moisture, rain, wind, plants’ transpiration rates, and, in some cases, plant type and more – to adjusting irrigation schedules, providing more precise amounts of water to maintain healthy growing conditions. Weather Based Irrigation Controller models must be Irrigation Association / SWAT tested. Incentives are based on controller station capacity. |

Commercial High Efficiency Toilet (HET) - [Flushometer, Tank, Dual Flush] The effective flush volume shall not exceed 1.28 gallons (4.8 liters). For "Dual Flush" toilets, the effective flush volume is defined as the composite average flush volume of two reduced flushes & one full flush. Rebates are for matching bowls & tanks and/or matching bowls and flushometer valves/valve kits. For tank and dual flush units, only EPA WaterSense-approved products qualify. |
